The Number of Visitors Amounted to One Million People (Tuesday, March 13th, 2007)

Since it opened on August 1st in 2002, many people visited us and the number of visitors amounted to a million people at 11:48 on March 13th (Tue) 2007.

Having been visited by one million people in 4 years and 8 months means that we could convey the disaster caused by the A-bomb to one million people. We appreciate it with deep emotion.

Even now, nuclear weapons exist, and we are still frightened by them today. To convey the tragedy of A-bomb is one of our important missions. We promise to dedicate all our strength to collect A-bomb materials, and to hold sessions of A-bomb readings whenever there is an opportunity.

We hope that more people will visit us. In addition, we would like visitors to not only keep what they felt by visiting us in their heart but also to tell it to people close to them. Therefore, we hope more people will come to think about peace. We believe that this is the thing, which will lead to the realization of a peaceful world without wars.

From comment of the director on March 13th in 2007
