The Number of Visitors Amounted to Two Million People (Friday, November 4th, 2011)

Update: 2011/11/04

Since the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims opened on August 1st in 2002, many people visited the Hall and the number of visitors amounted to two million people at 9:36 on November 4th (Fri) 2011.

Two million people including not only Japanese people but also those from foreign countries visited to the Hall within 9 years and 3 months. We are deeply honored of the fact that we could convey the truth of the tragedy of A-bomb to so many people.

Even now, nuclear weapons exist, and we are still frightened by them today. To convey the truth of the tragedy of A-bomb is one of our important missions. We promise to dedicate all our strength to collect A-bomb-related materials, and to transmit information by using them whenever there is an opportunity.

We hope that more people will visit to the Hall and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum . In addition, we would like visitors to not only keep what they felt by visiting the Hall in their heart but also to tell it to people close to them, hoping that more people will start thinking about peace. We believe that this is the thing, which will lead to the realization of a peaceful world without wars.
